Agilis Systems Inc. has announced that it's MRM (mobile resource management) solution has been certified on the Sprint Sanyo 7050 mobile phone, which is embedded with a GPS receiver.
The software modules will feature GPS tracking, mobile work order management with electronic forms, audible navigation, route optimization, DOT miles and fuel tax reports, an automated customer contact system designed to alert users of the mobile workers ETA (estimated time of arrival), and more.
"The Sprint Sanyo 7050 phone lets us combine the speed of the Sprint network with the power and versatility of our mobile resource management solution for the best in class solution," Dan Huber, President of Agilis Systems, was quoted as saying in the report.
With the certification, the Agilis MRM solution can now leverage the unique and special capabilities offered by the Sprint Sanyo 7050 phone. This includes the auto-launch of the Agilis software when the phone is initially switched on and automatic restart of the software when the application is switched off by the mobile user.
With the addition of the MRM software, companies in the transportation industry can benefit from the advantages that the phone offers with regard to 'always alive GPS' tracking to report DOT miles and fuel taxes. A combination of the phone and Agilis’ software will help the field service industry when they are looking to monitor a mobile worker's time on the job, and later, coordinate directly with payroll.
Agilis is a Sprint PCS Business Solution Partner. It offers innovative mobile resource management solutions to customers through the Sprint PCS Nationwide All Digital network. The certification is an extension of this partnership, and the integration of the Agilis MRM solution into the Sanyo 7050 will help both companies to address the rising mobile demands of businesses.
