St. Louis, April 10, 2008 — Agilis Systems, LLC has been honored with the 2008 North American Product Innovation Award. The Frost & Sullivan Award for Product Innovation is presented to the company that exhibits excellence in defining a customer need and utilizing Mobile Resource Management (MRM) technology to meet that need in an innovative and creative manner.
The award recognizes two new innovative software solutions from Agilis Systems – SmartCAMPUS and SmartRESPONDER. Both applications use global positioning systems (GPS), mobile phones, customizable electronic forms, and messaging technologies to quickly and effectively address security and emergency situations on campuses or at disaster sites.

The productivity, customer service, and cost-saving benefits of MRM solutions have become increasingly clear to business subscribers, especially as MRM capabilities have moved to the worker’s mobile handset. However, there are also significant security and emergency advantages inherent in MRM technologies. Frost & Sullivan projects that the North American market for location-enabled MRM applications will exceed $1.6 billion by 2013. Innovative applications like the SmartCAMPUS and SmartRESPONDER product suites will not only contribute to the overall MRM revenue stream, but also perform a much-needed public service in times of crisis.

The SmartCAMPUS solution utilizes levels of integration to quickly respond to emergency incidents. Level 1 sends text and email emergency messages to different groups on and off campus and utilizes GPS to track campus police and first-responders to maximize efficiency and minimize response time. Level 2 ratchets up the security response by using GPS to track all enrolled phones on or off campus with the use of geofencing to assign level-of-danger zones (red, yellow, green) on a web-based map. Instantly, location-specific messages are sent to all students and university personnel within these zones, alerting and instructing based on their
location. The SmartCAMPUS suite also provides an everyday Security Level featuring TrackMe and SOS Button capabilities for individual students to activate anytime they need emergency assistance both on and off campus.
SmartRESPONDER is designed for large-scale situations like natural disasters and attacks. It utilizes Bluetooth connectivity to gather information, provides first-responders with handset-based emergency forms, and has the ability to synch-up to central servers, as well as workflow management and mapping capabilities. Together, the SmartCAMPUS and SmartRESPONDER product suites enable rapid and effective location and communications, both critical components in any emergency situation.
