Challenge
A transportation and distribution company was searching for an MRM solution. Prior to teaming up with Agilis, the company recorded time, fuel tax, and mileage driven on paper forms in the field and spent time-consuming hours filing out required DOT/IFTA reports. They also had no way to track their employees’ location or length of stops. Prior to engaging Agilis Systems, they considered two other Mobile Resource Management applications that did not fit their needs.
Solution
The company now deploys Agilis’ LOCATE solution with DOT on blackbox devices in the vehicles. They use Agilis’ solutions to track their drivers’ location, mileage, routes, and length of stops plus automatically calculate their mileage and fuel tax for required DOT/IFTA reports.
Results
The company has seen improvement in both dispatcher and driver productivity since deploying Agilis’ LOCATE and DOT solution. They have reduced operational costs in the office and have increased productivity in the field by reducing the time spent filling out paperwork and submitting DOT reports. They now have visibility or driver locations and length of each stop allowing management to focus on targeted employee improvement.
